We are using Symantec EndPoint Protection Version 11.0.6000 (0162) on Macs running OS X 10.6.4.
We use an internal update server and configure the Macs as 'unmanaged'
If I install the Symantec s/w and then run the LIveUpdate to collect defs, it tries to update then fails with what looks like a problem with the size of the downloaded file when the defs file is of 150MB or greater.
I got around this by doing a manual install of the large defs file then the LiveUpdate runs OK for smaller (approx 75MB) updates.
But my query is that if future updates amount to more than the max allowed then they will fail on all our Mac clients.
I assume I can increase max Package Size etc in the liveupdate.conf?
What are valid values for these settings and will it resolve my issue?
maxPackageContentSize=734003200
maxPackageSize=734003200
maxTriFileSize=10485760
maxZipFileSize=614400
