AI Overview
The message indicates that changes to your credit card information cannot be processed due to regulations by the Reserve Bank of India. If you’re attempting to renew a subscription, you are advised to proceed to in.nortonnom/renewal. This issue is specifically related to automatic payment regulations implemented by the RBI, impacting recurring payments like subscription renewals.

Here’s a breakdown of the situation and potential solutions:

  • RBI Regulations:
The Reserve Bank of India has implemented regulations regarding automatic payments, including recurring subscriptions.

  • Impact on Subscriptions:
These regulations can cause payment failures or prevent automatic renewals for subscriptions.

  • Manual Renewal:
To address this, Norton is advising users to proceed to in.nortonnom/renewal for manual renewal.

  • Alternative Payment Methods:
Some companies might also offer alternative payment methods or require additional authentication for recurring payments.

  • Contact Your Bank:
If you’re experiencing issues with recurring payments, it’s advisable to contact your bank for guidance and to ensure your card is compliant with the new regulations.

  • Additional Authentication:
You may need to manually authenticate and approve each recurring payment.

@bjm Thank you for the detailed response. I have visited each page for which you have shared the screenshots and have tried all the suggested links. However, the renewal process keeps redirecting me to the same page where I’m unable to add my credit card.

I also tried contacting an agent a couple of times. In Two instance, it showed that Tarun had joined the conversation, but the chat ended from their side. I can see an “End Chat” button on my side, so I’m sure I didn’t end the chat myself.

Norton is also not responding to emails, which is why I finally posted this in the community. I’ve been using Norton products for the last 15 years and have never faced such issues before.

I’m not aware of Norton support via email.
Norton official support is via Chat | Phone | Social Support.

Thanks, tried phone number it says, number does not exist.

Thanks @bjm, one of your techniques worked. Ignoring all the AI bot’s responses and typing “agent” three times connected me to a human agent. This time, I was able to stay connected, and once I got the chance to speak with an agent, they resolved all my queries. They even gave me 2 extra days on my renewed subscription for the patience and issues I faced. Thank you to the community for sharing this trick and for taking the time to help with my queries.
