Hello, I am new to this forum, so please forgive me if I fumble along. My spouse accidently went into a website with what I think is some sort of malware called “Personal Antivirus”. I found it’s location in my C-drive, but am not able to uninstall it. I continue to receive pop-up announcements that I have been infected by various viruses, when I have not. This is very frustrating. I have Norton Security 2009 - which I just reinstalled on 08/26/09 - just 2 days before my husband tripped into this malicious website. I am thinking my Norton Antivirus should be all up to date, right? Well, I consulted w/Norton’s experts on the Chat site and spoke with someone by the name of Dilip, who said it was going to cost me $99.00 to get rid of this. After I submitted by CC info, he acknowledged this and said I would be reconnected w/a Technician w/in 20 - 30 minutes. I’ts been over 3 hrs, it’s now 3:00 AM, I 'm out a hundred bucks, no one has come online to help me. I’m dead tired and need to go to bed. Can someone please help me? I am very frustrated by the lack of customer service/support.
