I have been following posts in regards to Norton Security Suite (NSS) for quite awhile now and I am getting tired of hearing - it's a Comcst product, it is different from the versions of Norton that are covered in these forums, go to Comcast for answers.
First of all, other than Backup and Restore capabilities as shown in this comparison http://xfinity.comcast.net/constantguard/Products/CGPS/norton/, NSS is exactly like N 360. . .same definitions, same controls, same functions, capabilities etc. Any troubleshooting that applies to N360 applies equally to NSS.
The only difference is that the paid customers receive their upgrades before the Comcast customers (who receive NSS free) do. There is normally a month's delay for the Comcast customers. so there may be a month's period where they are on version 4 and the commerical customers are on version 5 - but other than that all troubleshooting is the same.
I just wanted to try to clear it up that NSS is not different than N360 and does not require different troubleshooting procedures.
