InfoStealer & HMonitor

I have been using the hardware monitoring program HMonitor for one year.  This program displays the system temperatures, fan speeds, etc. so I can keep track of how my computer is performing.  A couple of weeks ago NAV told me it had discovered the InfoStealer threat and fixed it.  I didn't realize it immediately, but at that point HMonitor stopped loading on boot.  Once I realized that HMonitor was no longer functioning I tried to figure out what was wrong, and then I realized that the .exe file was missing so it must have been quarantined.  I did a web search, and confirmed via the HMonitor forum that HMonitor is being flagged as a threat by NAV.  Supposedly this is a false positive, according to the HMonitor people...

What I don't understand is why NAV is treating HMonitor as a threat, instead of just the InfoStealer trojan.  According to the people at HMonitor the program had been cracked and someone inserted the trojan in at that time.  However, it is the trojan that is the threat not HMonitor.  I downloaded the Hmonitor program directly from their web site and paid the registration fee.  My copy should not have InfoStealer in it, and yet the .exe was quarantined.  Furthermore, the registry key was also quarantined which is implying that the program itself is a threat.  I would like some more information from Symantec, if available, as to why Hmonitor is being considered a threat. If this forum is not the proper place for this type of assistance, please refer me to the correct support method...
