It would be nice to see InSight scanning as an additional feature for on-demand scanner. I will explain you next why is this necessarily. Not long ago, I've got infected with an Ad-ware that hasn't been detected by signature, heuristic and SONAR layer of protection (NIS 2010). The symptoms of the threat activity was in hanging on explorer.exe (Windows 7) for every 5-10 minutes. It simply was impossible to work on my PC. Then I scanned my PC with another AV that detected successfully this threat with signature detection. After that I scanned immediately the file of threat on VirusTotal, and what I saw? Norton finds it as a Suspicious.InSight. This is what I want to see in on-demand scanner. I know it can show many false positives, but I'm sure that it can be implemented as an additional option, disabled by default. So user will enable it only in special cases, when other layers of protection fails (like in my case).
