Thank you for reading:
I am having an issue that has led me to believe it may be part of Norton.
We have only a handful of MAC's within our company and all have Norton for Mac internet security installed on them. One macbook pro inparticular has been having alerts. This goes from recieving ARP Cashe Poison to getting Inspector Connection Attempts...let me break it down
ARP Cashe Poison: These come in chunks within minutes of eachother..8/min to 20/min The MAC address it is stating to come from is a HTC smartphone. Very weird, but that is what is happening. Is there a way to get rid of the issue or is this a known thing? What process should I do to prevent/abolish this?
Inspector Connection Attempt: This is a new one as of today. Here is the information that is coming up:
Date/Time: Apr 18, 2012 1:16:57PM
Direction: Incoming
Action: Denied
Type: User-defined Setting
Protocol: UDP / IPv6 Frag / IPv6 Frag
Remote Address: xx.xx.xx.55 / MAC Address / MAC Address
Port: 137 / 1004 / 1004
Host: internal server / npia2ff39.local / internal mac
Local Address: 0.0.0.0 / xxxx:x::xx / xxxx:x::xx
Port:137 / 0 / 0
Host: 0.0.0.0 / xxxx:x::xx / xxxx:x::xx
Those are three that alerted between 1:16 and 1:33. Can anyone shed some light on this so I inform the executives if it is an issue?
Thank you again!
