Hi all, I've just joined the community, because I've serious problem.
I had my Norton Internet Security (version 15.xxx) installed on my Vista Home Premium PC.
Before my NIS expired I bought on line a NIS 2011 version.
I've downloaded the NIS 11 downloading manager but the installation just starts, the initialization screen flashes twice and nothing else happens.
I've called Norton Support, they connected to my PC and tried to:
+ uninstall previous Norton version
+ clean the registers
+ use the Norton Power eraser
+ download NIS 2011 from www.norton.com/it/nis011
But the result was the same, they tried to download also NIS 2009, NIS 2010, and NAV 2011 but the behavior is the same (init screen flashing twice).
Also the Norton Recovery Bootable Tool is not installable.
I did by myself on my office PC and burned the CD. I used the CD on my home PC, but no security risks have been found by NBRT.
Now I've just 30 days left to install my NIS 2011 after that it will expire.
Norton Support told me I've two chances: either I call Norton and pay 99.99euro to clean my PC or I digit "format C:".
Why ? no risks have been found by Norton products and I've been protected by Norton since 2008.....
I saved Norton installation logs, in case someone is able to read and understand them !! Here attached one sample.
