End december I visited family in England and then I bought the product "NORTON NIS2011" delivered in a box with a CD. Product which could be installed on three PCs. I did the same one year ago with NIS2010 in december 2009.
I started to install NIS2011 on NIS2010 on my office PC (Pentium 4 windows XP). The installation was really strange because when i clicked on button "install the product" nothing happened. Then I went in Norton Internet Security 2010 and then downloads started and apparently NIS2011 was unloaded from NORTON Internet site. NIS2011 was finally installed and when I entered the product key, NIS2011 was available for 365 days. The version is 18.5.0.125 which is ok. But, I suspect that NIS2011 was not installed from the CD but from from Norton Internet site.
Then, I copied NIS2011 from the CD to an USB key. I tried to install NIS2011 on the Mini PC ASUS 10000H running on Windows XP as I did last year. It did not worked. I entered the product key and then I get an availability for 365 days on that PC. But the interface of Norton is still NIS2010, and the version of course is 16.8.0.41.
I am not an english user because I live in France. I followed exactly the same process last year and it worked, but it did not this year. Now I have to complete the installation of NIS2011 on the mini PC which is still in NIS2010.
I will be pleased if somebody could help me for that problem. Should I dowload NIS2011 from Internet to te mini PC or use the USB key on which is NIS2011. I don't know really.
