I'm trying to install Norton antivirus on a Macbook Pro running OS 10.6.8. The Norton CD states 'OS 10.4.10 or higher', but I am getting two consistent problems: (1) During installation, Live Update won't connect, and (2) however I install, with or without running Live Update, I get an error-message box quoting Code 10, saying the program isn't able to run. The error box will close, but reappears constantly.
If I then use Norton Uninstaller, the error message (and the program) disappears. I have repeated install/uninstall several times, but I cannot stop the error message.
There is an older Norton 7 onboard the machine, but I was presuming it would be overwritten/updated by the new version.
