Installing to other computers

I downloaded my new Norton Internet Security successfully to my main computer. But when I tried to install on my laptop (2nd computer) I had problems. It started downloading, but then I got an error message that stated "An unrecoverable error has occurred. Please click Technical Support for more information". It stopped downloading. What do I do now?

I would like to mention that this laptop (2nd computer) had a virus. I had all sorts of annoying "virus scan" pop-ups and it wouldn't allow me to use Internet Explorer (couldn't go to mynortonaccount.com to load Norton). It kept say things like "you are infected with a virus, allow scan, register virus scan," etc. I used a jump drive (USB) to install/run the Norton Bootable Recovery Tool and then the Norton Power Eraser. It worked, the pop-ups are gone and I can use Internet Explorer now. Did the virus mess up my operating system? Or did the Norton Power Eraser do too much (there was a warning that stated "You should use Norton Power Eraser only when nothing else will remove the threat and you are willing to accept the risk that the scanner may quarantine a legitimate program")? I guess I should have the laptop checked out, but I want to be sure there isn't something I'm missing before I pay someone to work on it.
