I'm just wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem, and how they were able to resolve it.
I use a Seagate 500GB USB2 drive as my backup media.
I'm using Norton 360 v2 (I will provide build info later today, but the last autoupdate occured less than a week ago) and have scheduled a Full Backup for Early Monday morning.
The Backup set size is approx 130GB.
Twice now, I have awoken Monday morning to an error message saying that the target drive was unavailable.
Once the error occurs, 360 will not backup to that drive, manually or as a part of the schedule.
I am able to write to, read from, create, move, delete etc on the USB drive, even when 360 reports an error during a manual backup.
I was able to work around the issue by renaming the target folder and then manually start a backup.
I have found nothing common between the 2 occurances of this issue.
The first occured after I upgraded to 360v2, the secon followed no significant system changes.
I would first recommend contacting our Customer Support team through the product’s Help & Support link. Or you can visit the below site to contact our free Customer Support:

If you have already done this and they could not resolve your issue, please let us know. If this is the case, please provide as many details as possible. From the problem you’re describing, there may be an issue with the powersave options you are using when your system becomes idle. Thanks!
