Internal Error when trying to run Backup

Hi,

I can not perform a backup my laptop with 360 as everytime I try, in comes up with an 'Internal Error' immediately.

I have run a Full System Scan with no success. Here is a screenshot of the error: http://i1144.photobucket.com/albums/o484/Jason_Salt/NewPicture.jpg

What version of 360 are you using? Support - About

 6.3.0.14

What operating system and service pack are you using?

Vista, SP2

Try clicking on Support - Get Support to run  Autofix to check your installation and fix what it finds.

I've run the Autofix with no success several times

I've only had this problem since install v6, so I wonder whether there is a bug related to this version, Vista and CD/DVD backup.

I see your Norton gadget is showing 'Needs Attention'.

When you click on the gadget, what message is displayed? Can you post a screenshot of what is displayed ?

It actually says 'At Risk'.

I get the following screen when clicking on it:

At this point I would suggest reinstalling your 360 using the Norton Removal and Reinstall tool.

Download the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool from here   www.norton.com/nrnr
If you use Identity Safe, backup/export your data.
Run the Norton Removal and Reinstall Tool.
Reboot.
Run LiveUpdate manually a few times, rebooting as necessary, until no updates are available.
Import your Identity Safe data.

Let us know how it goes.

Hello Jason

Are you seeing this problem only while running Backup to Optical Drive or for all types of Backup (To Local drive, Online)?

Please reboot the machine and then try Backup with Optical drive connected (CD/DVD in the drive) and let us know if you still see this problem.

Thanks

Kavitha

Cheers, fixed the problem entirely

Glad to hear you found the solution.

I don't like the 'standard solution' to reinstall a program, or worse Windows, but sometimes that is what is called for.
