Help! I have a simple two-computer home network and have trouble connecting to the internet on the client computer after a recent upgrade from NIS 2008 to 2009.
Here's my setup:
Main computer connects to the internet using a wireless broadband modem. Kids' computer connects to the main computer through a wired Netgear router. We are able to share files and printers on the network but unable to share the internet connection. We have run the networking wizard numerous times with no success. The wireless internet conncetion works fine from the main computer and is listed as shared in the network connections page. Windows XP is on both computers with the firewall turned off. The network map on NIS 2009 shows both computers and they are both listed as "full trust" in the NIS network map page. We are able to ping both computers from the other but unable to get internet connection on the kids' computer. Any suggestions? It seems like I'm missing something simple and just can't find it!
Frustrated,
Steve
