Internet explorer locks up after upgrade from NIS 2006 to NIS2008.

Reinstalled IE7 twice, but it didn't help.  I try to open IE then it just sits there, I can't close it even if I try to use the task manager to do so, it won't show up in that window nore can I close the task manager window thereafter.  I can use and close the manager after a computer restart and as long as I don't open IE.. Now I have to use firefox for browser but now I can't use windows update because my IE doesn't work...  What should I do?

Just a few suggestions:

- Have you performed a Full System Scan with a Updated Norton Product, via LiveUpdate?

- Did you make sure the 2006 Version was Fully Removed? I would maybe use the Norton Removal Tool (http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039).

- Are there any Add-Ons for Internet Explorer, e.g. Google Tool Bar, that you recently Installed? If so, this could be the problem.

What Operating System are you using, e.g. Windows X.P., and Version, e.g. Service Pack 03?
