I’m not sure, but I think so - how can I found out?
In the Norton Product: ? Help & Support > About. Or in Add/Remove: Start > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs.
Hi & welcome
Are all features back when you uninstall the product? Because than it would be a nice idea to just reinstall
ven I haven't been able to reply, my Internet wouldn't let me get here or sign in or anything. I have Norton with Rogers, so the only way to access it is to go to the Rogers Internet Security or whatever it is. When I click on Firewall it says I have to restart my computer to open it, so I do so and it still doesn't work.
For some reason everything is working now (but this has happened before, and it goes back to normal quickly) so if it stops working again I'll try reinstalling.
Thanks.
I’m not sure if it’s the Firewall that’s the problem so sorry if this is in the wrong place
Anyways…
I’m gonan list some information, I’m not sure if it’s gonna help but I’ll do so anyway.
I’m currently on a Microsoft Windows XP, Home Edition, Version 2002, with Service Pack 2.
I’ve been using Rogers High Speed Internet for awhile but I didn’t realize till a few months ago that this Norton AntiVirus and other things such as Norton Firewall came with it, so I downloaded it (this was after I had to reformat my computer when I got a virus), and my Internet was working. Then lately, when I was away on vacation, tons of Internet things stopped working, including tons of websites.
Among them are Hotmail, (although MSN still works), Facebook, and Google Search. My problem is much like the one posted in this topic…
Also, forum logins don’t work, as well as any logins, such as game websites, TSN, etc.
I’ve tried System Restore, changing cookie options, changing Norton Firewall options, but absolutely nothing has worked. The only way I managed to register on this site was by registering with another E-mail address of mine, and surprisingly I was able to login to that Inbox and this site. However, I have no idea what’s going on and I can’t seem to find any answers. I don’t know if we have a virus again or what. Also, recently I’ve discovered that some websites that don’t work are accessible with http://translate.google.ca and that http://google.ca works, but not the search engine itself (just the front page). However, most things still don’t work on that.
If you need any addition information just ask for it, and please help me

Do you have two Security Products installed on your computer...?
I think I have 2 Firewalls, and I think I got the Internet reworking since I changed the settings for one of them. I think the two might have been colliding with each other, but now it seems to be workingn :)
Thanks for all your help :)

Un-install the other Firewall/Securitry Product as soon as possible as you should only have one Security Product installed at any one time.
And yes, they will be clashing.
You can never use two security products at a time. especialliy anti virus and firewall
What Version of Norton AntiVirus are you using, e.g. Norton AntiVirus 2008?
