Internet Security 2012 has suddenly started blocking access to my home computer network. I have three pc’s, all Win7 Ultimate, all loaded with IS2012. Until the last couple of days everything worked fine-- they all were able to communicate with each other. I still have internet access on all machines, but can no longer get file or printer sharing to work. Windows says there is a shared printer on my network but is unable to install it. I am blocked by a “you don’t have permission” message when I try to access another machine on my network. I am the administrator, but am still blocked even though I have set up full access through Win7.
Is there anything I can do to restore functionality to my network?

All computers already showed shared at the top and all had shared in the trust level, so I guess I need further help. Thanks
To be sure it is Norton blocking access, have you tried temporarily turning off the Smart Firewall on all 3 PCs to see if that gives you access?

A permissions message would not be coming from the Norton firewall, I don't think. Have you recently used one of the PCs on a different network such as a public wi-fi?
No, I haven't used them on a public network. These are two desktop pc's and one laptop pc. The laptop has never been connected to a public wifi network. These messages, and the inablility to share files and printers, are a complete mystery to me. Networking was working just fine until a few days ago. I have added no new software in the past few months except an upgrade of NIS 2011 to NIS2012. Ihad no networking problems with NIS2011
I tried turning off the firewalls and now I'm getting an enter network password and username when I try to access another network computer. In Homegroup I can see folders for shared files, but the folders will not open (no error message is generated, just no open). I have never set up a password for any of these computers.
