Yeah, Chrome or Norton.
I'd start with Norton. Just me.
Setting up Norton is easier than rebuilding my Chrome. Just me.
Cheers
Indeed I do know the supported browsers. As the OP is using Chrome, Norton should detect it as an installed browser whether or not its set as default in Windows. Maybe a removal of Chrome, reboot and reinstall Chrome?
Cheers
SoulAsylum: I was depicting that Opera isn't detected even with the Norton extensions and it remains Edge in the Norton UI. It shouldn't be that way. Knowing Opera isn't supported but the extensions ARE, and, Windows knows Opera is the default browser Norton should detect it the same as it would Chrome.
Norton does not recognize my Edge Chromium with Edge Chromium as default + Safe Web extension.
So, even though Norton extension work in Edge Chromium and Norton question marks call Edge Chromium.
Edge Chromium is not recognized.
Norton, as you know, supports - recognizes > Edge Original, Firefox, Chrome, Internet Explorer (at this time).
Indeed. Ohalabi most likely should perform a removal only, reboot and reinstall his product with the R&R tool. FWIW!! I was depicting that Opera isn't detected even with the Norton extensions and it remains Edge in the Norton UI. It shouldn't be that way. Knowing Opera isn't supported but the extensions ARE, and, Windows knows Opera is the default browser Norton should detect it the same as it would Chrome.

I made Opera default. I have Safe Web extension installed and enabled in Opera.
Norton UI question marks calls Opera.
Norton Internet Security tab does not see Opera.
Norton is not seeing user Ohalabi Chrome install.
Maybe, Ohalabi Chrome is not installed in default location path.
Or, Norton needs refresh install.
All: FWIW!! I use the Opera GX browser which uses the Chrome extensions. Opera shows as the default browser in Windows settings under default apps as it should. The Norton UI shows Microsoft Edge.
it opens up a page in microsoft edge that has instructions on how to enable norton security on edge. But I never use edge.
As I noted, the default browser shown in your Norton product only affects any links in your Norton product. All other links, from emails or web sites, will use your system default browser. In your case Chrome.
What happens when you click Set up Now from the screen in your image?
Your image....
Chrome is actually my default but I don't know why it's shown as IE. And how is it going to be protected while it says internet security not set up?
Your Chrome browser is still going to be protected. What is shown in your image is the default browser that will open when clicking links within the Norton product.
What is your default browser in Windows?
