ich habe das 2013 er Programm neu eingelesen (hatte vorher schon die 2012er Version und Ältere) aber offensichtlich hat es mir nicht nur alle Passwörter gelöscht (ich verwende es auf 3 Geräten) sondern es speichert auch die Passwörter nicht mehr. Da ich mit vielen Programmen und Firmen (Fotos) arbeite ist es unmöglich alle PW auswendig zu kennen deshalb war es angenehm die einmal gespeicherten PW's zu verwenden. Es scheint auch nicht mehr der Hinweis "Passwort für diesen Anbieter speichern" auf.??????????????????????
I bought Norton Internet Security on Dec. 8. I could never get it downloaded. I tried and tried and tried to no avail, however, the trial version downloaded in seconds!! Now, I go back and find they want another $50 for the program that doesn't download in the first place. I've been going through an evaluation for a lung transplant, so I haven't really had time to deal with this until now and find they want another $50. I'm totally disgusted with Norton. There is no way to reach anyone on the phone, unless of course you want to PAY them for it. Unlike HP who has amazing customer service and you can get through to them in minutes. I don't want to hear anything about - well, just go to whatever and get it on our website. YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE SUCKS. YOUR WEBSITE SUCKS. You don't care if people are happy with your products. I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER NORTON PRODUCT AGAIN. What a racket. How many people has this company ripped off???
If you have a valid Product Key that you have already purchased, click the "Renew" link at the bottom of the main Norton window in your installed trial version, enter the Key in the space provided and click the small arrow to submit it. The product is asking to be activated, not repurchased.

soweit ich weiß muss man für die Mac-Version eine eigene, extra für diese Version passende Seriennummer erwerben. Die von Windows kann man nicht nutzen.
Du kannst aber hier eine Lizenz erwerben, die mit Mac und Windows funktioniert, sodass du beide Rechner schützen kannst.

Du hast es natürlich nicht für notwendig erachtet, hier im Forum vorher mal vorbei zu schauen, um Dich sachkundig zu machen, ob es etwas beim Versionswechsel von 2012 auf 2013 zu beachten gibt, oder?
Sonst hätte Dir doch auffallen müssen, dass es nur noch bedingt einen lokalen Speicher für die Passwörter gibt, sondern, bei Nichtbeachtung der Voraussetzungen, automatisch auf den neuen Online-Speicher umgestellt wird und damit die übliche DAT-Datei nicht mehr existiert.
Norton ist eben der Meinung, dass man den Benutzer seiner Programme nicht fragen braucht, was aus seinen persönlichen Daten werden soll.
Da musst du dich dran gewöhnen.
Und wieso speichert NIS die Passwörter nicht mehr?
Dann solltest Du mal die Einstellungen unter Einstellungen-Optionen für Durchsuchen überprüfen oder den Speicher öffnen zunächst, damit das überhaupt funktionieren kann.

Genau deshalb ist die Option ja eingebaut, dass man ab und an mal siene Logins und Karten sichern kann und zwar unter Einstellungen-Internet-Identity-Safe-Exportieren. Damit kann man den Inhalt des Safes in eine DAT-Datei auf dem Rechner extern vom Programm sichern und später mit Importieren bei Bedarf wieder einlesen.
Wenn sich überhaupt nicht mit den Funktionioen von NIS beschäftigt, sondern einzig und allein NIS benutzt, wie es auf dem Rechner installiert wird, verliert man zu gegebener Zeit eben auch mal seine Kennwörter, wenn man nicht aufpasst.
Welche genaue Version von NIS 2013 benutzt Du jetzt?

Wenn nicht, warte damit bitte, bis Du geantwortet und neue Antwort von mir hast.
Gerade gesehen: Schon auf allen Rechner gemacht offenbar.
Dann schau über die Suche Deines Windows-Explorers, ob Du eine Datei findest, die die Endung ".DAT" hast.
Insbesondere in einem Ordner unterhalb des Ordners "C:\ProgramData\Norton\{0C55C096-0F1D-4F28-AAA2-85EF591126E7}\NIS_20.3.1.22\IdentitySafeDataStore" könnte es eine Datei "IDDStor2.dat" oder "IDDStor2.dat.bak" geben.
Aus beiden Dateien kann man den Inhalt des Identity-Safe mit Importieren wieder herstellen.
Die Versionsnummer in der Ordnerangabe kann variieren. Es können auch die Ordner von mehreren Versionen vorhanden sein, so dass Du Glück haben könntest, dass die Datei aus Deinem NIS 2012 sogar noch vorhanden ist.
Solltest du weiterhin Deine Logins lokal speichern und verwalten wollen, dann solltest Du Dir unbedingt Dieses Thema von mir anschauen, gut durchlesen und genau nach diesem Schema die Installation noch einmal durchführen.
Dann liegen die Kennwörter nicht in der Cloud.
Wenn Du sie in der Cloud möchtest, wegen Deiner drei Rechner, dann wäre Onlie-Speicher aber richtiger.

Welcome
The first thing to do is identify the security product that is currently installed and running on your computer.
Once you do that it will be necessary to go to that vendor's site and get their removal tool. Run it, reboot and run it one more time just to be sure it got everything. Then reboot and install your Norton product. Reboot and run live update and reboot until the program tells you that all of the updates have been downloaded and installed.

What program is giving you this notice? If you already have a security program on your system, it needs to be completely uninstalled (including running any removal tool available from the vendor) prior to installing Norton. If you have malware on the machine, such as a fake antivirus program blocking the installation, you will have to remove the malware before attempting the install. Please let us know what your situation is before proceeding.
Not sure all i have is norton security scan (detection only), and this microsoft security essentials. The microsoft security essentials was blacking it im able to install the internet security, im hoping this wll slove the problem.
Microsoft Security Essentials should be uninstalled prior to installing NIS.
You don't give the full Toshiba model number after the L655 but it looks like that series comes with
Norton Internet Security™ 2010 (30-day trial subscription) so did you renew that or did you buy the 2011 you are trying to install?
Did you buy a disk retail or buy the download from Norton?
Well, I do not know why, but I opened up Norton so that I could look at it to better answer your questions, and the performance screen now works.
Another unusual thing is that when I open Norton it does not come up on the home screen showing Secure. It comes up in the general options screen and I select map and it goes to the home screen.
I normally use my laptops plugged in so I could turn the monitor off also.

It sounds like you are getting different things happening or not happening between when you are on battery and when you are plugged in. This is normal. 360 tries to conserve your battery power as much as possible while still providing full protection.

Been using this product for about two years on both of my two laptops. Recently the performance feature stopped and I find that it is turned off. I have tried turning it on several times and it turns itself off.
