Intrusion attempts during the day

Hi.  Several times during the day I get intrusion attempts and Norton keeps on blocking it.  Is there anything I can do at my end to stop these annoying intrusion attempts?

Maggie Kingsford:
I downloaded Malwarebytes and ran a scan and thank goodness they didn't find anything (so far).  Maybe I shall keep this for a wee while to see what happens as no more intrusions have shown up.  I hope this is the right thing to do.

Thanks....we appreciate your progress report.

I've found Malwarebytes Forums helpful for all Malwarebytes users.

You are seeing the Mo23.biz advertisements because your computer is infected with a malicious program or a site that you have visited has redirected you to this page.

Less than reputable sites can display malicious ads that redirect your browser to the Mo23.biz pop-up ads to generate advertising revenue. If this happens, you can close the page and install a free browser extension like Adblock to block the malicious ads. However, if you continuously see pop-ups like the Mo23.biz pop-up ads, then your computer might be infected with a malicious program, and you need to scan your device for adware and remove it.

Here are a few typical signs that you have a malicious program installed on your computer:

  • Advertisements appear in places they shouldn’t be.
  • Your web browser’s homepage has mysteriously changed without your permission.
  • Web pages that you typically visit are not displaying properly.
  • Website links redirect to sites different from what you expected.
  • Browser popups appear which recommend fake updates or other software.
  • Other unwanted programs might get installed without your knowledge.

If the intrusion attempts are from outside your network, there is nothing you can do to stop them. There are always bots trying to connect to unprotected systems on the internet. Your Norton has done its job and is blocking them.

If you can check your Norton History and post the information noted about the intrusion attempt, we can better diagnose what is going on.
