Hello…I have Norton Internet Security. The other day while connected to the internet I had the Norton Internet Security program open and I accidentally turned off the Smart Firewall. When I finally realized it about 10 or 12 seconds had gone by and I turned it back on. Intrusion Prevention was still enabled. After I realized the firewall was off for about 10 seconds I got really freaked out that maybe during that time period someone had tried to attack an open port or something. I ran a scan and no viruses or anything were detected. How do I know if my computer had been hacked or compromised during that time? If Intrusion Prevention was on does that sort of act like a firewall and would that have prevented any people trying to get on my computer? Please help and put my mind at ease! Thanks!
