ab der 2006 Version gibt es die funktion das man mit dem Produktschluesse hohere versionen aktivieren kann.
Sprich du kannst nis 07,08,09,10 damit aktivieren.
Unter 2006 sprich 05,04,03 die gibt es keinen produkt schluesse womit man 2006 oder hoher aktivieren kann.
Wenn du ein Laufendes Abo hast ein neues mit 350 tagen oder 340 tagen welches mit 2005 oder aelter ist. wuerde ich wenn du ab XP sp2 oder hoeher hast den Support Kontaktieren. denke die sind so nett und geben dir ne moeglichkeit noch was zu machen.

Zur loesung . Wuerde ich bei bestehenden abo 2006 oder Hoeher die aktuellste version downloaden isntallieren und Aktievieren mit dem produktschluessel.
Bei aelter als 2006 Version mal den Support anrufen oder chaten. und mal nett Fragen ob es eine Meoglichekit gibt auf eine Hoehere version upgraden zu lassen.

Ich bin blutiger Laie und als solcher arg darauf bedacht, dass mein Rechner nicht versifft wird. So haben bei mir die Alarmglocken geläutet, als die Intrusion Prevention (Version 2004, aber mit regelmäßigen updates auch optisch auf den neuesten Stand gebracht) plötzlich der Schalter auf "AUS" geschaltet war. GRÜN wurde nicht genommen. Also: removal tool, alles weg und die Steinzeit-Disc raus (2004 !), alles installiert. Geht auch, aber mit altem Design und einer Abo-Verlängerung. Alle Live-updates durchgeführt. Ist das korrekt so, wie ich es gemacht habe oder hat die Geschichte einen Pferdefuß (ich muss z.B. beim online-Zeitungslesen jetzt regelmäßig erst einmal den popup-Blocker deaktivieren, das ätzt!)
Ich würde nach dem reamoval gleich die 2011er Version versuchen zu installieren anstatt wieder die 2010er.

Hallo!
Ich habe ein Problem mit der Intrusion Prevention von NIS 2010. Der hat sich von gestern auf heute auf "aus" gestellt und ich bekomme den auch nicht mehr an. Beim Überprüfen ist mir dann aufgefallen, dass er auch 2 updates dafür nicht installieren konnte.
Also dachte ich mir, ich installier Norton einfach neu, leider funktioniert die disc aber nicht mehr. Ich kann noch den Autostart anwählen doch dann hängt er sich auf. Ich finde ihn zwar im Taskmanager mit konstant 25% cpu Auslastung, ansonsten passiert aber nichts.
Wäre froh und dankbar, wenn mir jmd bei diesem Problem helfen könnte.

Just a general question I was going through my Norton 360 logs (which I know I shouldn’t do) but I noticed that I didn’t get the log to say if Intrusion Prevention was enabled the last time it was enabled was the 15/02/2014 so I restarted my computer and I got the log saying it has been enabled.
I just don’t understand why it wasn’t enabled on the 16th or when I turned my computer on today does this mean I wasn’t protected at that time?

I have taken your advice and turned off fast start up and then shut down my computer and turned it back on it loaded up just like normal but when I got onto the desktop of Windows 8 and clicked the arrow on the bottom right to see of Norton was there and it wasn’t so I waited a while and it appeared there. I also tried to open task manager and it took a while for it to do so is this because the without fast start up it cold boots and starts everything from scratch like previous OS?

Unfortunately, I don't have a clue regading the reason behind the delays. This is because I never sign in immediatley upon seeing the welcome screen. I always wait for at least 5 min. before signing in. I go through a really weird ritual when I boot the computer. Takes too long to explain, but I can assure you it's nothing perverse 
The important thing to find out is whether Intrusion Prevention is being logged now. If yes, then I wouldn't worry too much about the delayed appearnce of certain icons.

This now makes more sense to me because as soon as the log in screen comes up I just log in! So I’m guessing when you don’t log in it has more time to load up your programs e.t.c.
I have also turned off my computer a few times to make sure intrusion prevention is working and it all seems fine!

Not sure this will help your current situation in regards to boot time - but perhaps going into Settings > Antivirus > Boot Time Protection and setting it to Aggressive may help your Norton come up sooner.

In addition to my 5-minute booting ritual (before signing in), after I sign in I then stay on the "metro" screen (the screen with the colorful tiles) for 3 minutes before going to the desktop--that's right, every time I turn on the computer I spend eight minutes waiting just to let everything load! 
By then all icons should have appeared.
I agree with yank, you should set Boot Time Protection to Aggressive. While you're at it, you might as well go and turn on Early Launch Anti-Malware Protection. This latter feature's activities will be logged under Scan Results in Security History. If you check Security History, you will notice that Early Launch appears to lauch before every other Norton component--before Intrusion Prevention, for example, by about a second. The peculiar thing about Early Launch is that, when functioning properly, its log entry is only displayed for the most recent computer boot. All the ones from previous boots (regular "starts" or "restarts" even if just minutes apart) will not be displayed in Security History.
Sorry about the lengthy description. This data came from two months' worth of continual observations. Had to dump it somewhere!
