Hi,
I used to run Norton Ghost v. 12 regularly on ny HP Pavillion laptop workstation. I backed up the Windows Vista system partition (C:). There were also three Linux partitions on the HDD at that time. The bootloader was GRUB that chainloaded either Linux or Windows Vista.
Now the Linux partitions have been removed and I run the same Windows Vista on a single partition disk (C:). Windows Vista "normal" bootloader. One of my last recovery points were made in 2010. Now I wish to restore my Windows Vista to that recovery point.
If I just start NG I can see the recovery point. Please see screenshot. https://imageshack.com/i/nartxij
If I boot the SRD I can navigate to the partition-image that was made in 2010. It resides on an external, USB-connected disk. But when I examine the image copy, the SRD tells me "invalid drive". Please see screenshot. https://imageshack.com/i/nbjhg6j
I try to follow this advice in your forum:
http://community.norton.com/t5/Other-Norton-Products/Ghost-12-shows-invalid-drive-and-target-drive-when-trying-to/m-p/152753#M13753
I can click to the "Load driver" and a file tree browser opens. See screenshot. https://imageshack.com/i/ndbj77j
However, I don't know how to find the correct driver.
Please advise me how to restore my computer.
Thanks
