When using the Apple IOS app "weather on the way" I get a popup from Norton saying that the site "apple-weather-auth-2.weatheron theway.app:443" is untrusted and it is recommended not to use this site.
Why is this flagged by norton?

Please monitor and report back if it happens again.
Deleted and reinstalled norton. Haven't been able to recreate (so far)
If you are seeing it intermittenly, maybe you can set up logging to send to Norton to help diagnose the problem.
Start by opening iOS settings on your device and scroll down to the bottom where the apps are listed. Tap on the Norton 360 app and tap to Enable Debug Log.
Now use your device until it causes the issue you are having. Then open the 360 app and tap on the three bars at the top left, then tap Help. Tap on Send Error Report and fill in any information requested. In your submission, please include "forum 'your username' " in the Case ID section of the report. Also include a link to this thread.
If you do send logs, please let me know and I'll notify my contacts to look for them.
Thanks for looking into this. However I get the message periodically when I run the app. I didn't notice when I installed it. I looked at this too and it appears to be making a secure connection to a domain (.app) for the application. I'll ignore the popup message for now. Hopefully Norton can see what the issue is and remove the popup warning.
I just installed the app on my iPhone SE 2022 with iOS 16.5.1 and saw the same message you did. When I closed that warning page, The app appears and gives no other warnings. Closing the app and opening again does not give any error. Could be some attempt to 'phone home' during the install process that fails. It is not saying the site is dangerous, just untrusted. This could be a certificate issue with the site. I see the app has been around since 2021. So I would suggest that the app itself is safe to use. But it is your call if you want to wait until I can check by gathering logs.
I'll uninstall and install again while creating Norton 360 logging. I'll let you know if I hear anything. It will take some time for Norton to be able to check logs and check the information before I hear anything.
Edit
Well that did not work. I uninstalled, restarted my phone, set up the logging and reinstalled the app but the message did not come up this time. So it does appear to be something in the initial install that the app's installer will call home to register information, possibly due to the free trial period.
