IPaddress changed without rebooting

In an attempt to understand a recent activity where my IP address changed without me rebooting, I decided to check my connection logs this morning. I have a tendency to get over concerned and have chosen to try to undertsand more than worry

I noticed an outbound connection from my computer to

IP address 209.18.43.xxx

When I check this against WHOIS look up, I find

OrgName: Road Runner HoldCo LLC

When I check it against Webyield, I find

dfw10.tbone.rr.com

Now this happened at 4:10am and nobody was on the computer, though the computer was connecetd to teh internet at the time

The number of bytes sent was low and same for the received. I do run a full system Norton scan scheduled daily for 4am

Could this be part of the scan running? I haven't noticed this before

All virus/spywarescans (norton. malwarebytes, and spybot show clean other than Norton picking up tracking cookies)

is this just part of the internet activity that us non-tech folks don't understand? Or is it something dangerous? That I need to take more action on?

As I said, nobody was on the computer at the time

I use NAV2008 with Vista OS vista service pack 2 with a DSL connection and no router. Almost always connected to the internet

[edit: Changed subject for clarity.]
