iPhone users - beware!

I had Norton 360 installed on a computer, and then moved my iTunes to that computer assuming that Norton was smart enough to figure out that the iTunes data should be backed up automatically.  When I had problems upgrading to a new version of iTunes, I realized too late that all my iPhone photos were gone.  No problem, I thought; I'll just restore a previous backup from Norton.  After spending many hours looking through this forum and other web sites, I called Symantec.  After 2.5 hours on the phone (I am not making this up), I was told that I should have manually added a folder (that I would never even have known) to ensure my iPhone backups were backed up by Norton.  They made it sound like an iPhone was not a prevalant device and that I was wrong in assuming that Norton was smart enough to recognize the software and at least prompt me if I wanted to back up the data.  Bottom line - many years of my iPhone photos lost forever.  Don't make the same mistake I did and assume that Norton is backing up your critical data.
