Question:-
Do the "Periodical Download Updates" contain both, or do they update individually, as their renewable availability ?

Open N360 > Tasks > Check Security History and find your Live Updates. They will show different updates at different times. I hope this helps.

How many bits / bytes are there, in a "ATTACKING SIGNATURE", of any type ?
Are the "signatures" of a standard length, or are they unique ?

I'm sure the size of an individual attack signature is not going to be particularly useful. Each Norton component that requires updating will receive its own specific update. LiveUpdate may download only one update per session, or it may download several. The updates for the various malware-detection components are listed on the following page, along with a description of what types of threats they cover and, in some cases, links to the list of signatures that have been included in the current and past releases.
