Hi all and help please
I was curious about what start up programs I have and so I went to
msconfig
opened Start up tab
and I saw this item
ALU Alert
located in C:\ProgramFiles\Symantec\Liveupdate\ALuNotify.exe
I had used the NRT several times before installing NIS 2010.
When I go to C:\ProgramFiles\Symantec, I dont see anything but
S32EVNT1.DLL
When I had NAV2008 installed, when I would start up a little box from Norton would pop up and ask me if I wanted to check for Updates.
But that doesn't happen now with NIS 2010
1. Is this part of NIS 2010? Or is it left over from my previous NAV2008?
2. Did NRT miss this item?
3. Should I remove ALU Alert from the start up menue?
4. If it is from NAV2008 and it remains in the start up, can it mess up my NIS 2010?
5. should I remove it from the start up and then reinstall NIS 2010?
