I've always been under the impression that one should never run two different anti virus programmes at the same time. However, is it ok to download, in particular as it has a good reputation, malwarebytes and use it to run one-off scans every now and again?.
If so would i have to disable NIS first? (i really would not want to do that). I purchased NIS after reading reviews from many sources as it seems to have gained an excellent reputation, especially in contrast to previous versions of Norton.
My only other reluctance to test my system with a second AV is if it finds things that Norton hasn't. I would be extremely disappointed and feel quite insecure with NIS if that should happen. But, across the internet forums (possibly on here as well?) i seem to recall mentions or thread titles referring to malwarebytes finding viruses and trojans that NIS hasn't.
