Is "black box" on HP Laptop StartUp/Home screen in Windows 11 normal?

Good Morning,

Sometime ago I started a post regarding a "Black Box," hidden above/beyond top of screen (HP laptop) at Startup/Home screen. I could not get a picture attached to the post (as it exceeded allowed memory). Someone, mistakenly, thought that I meant the task bar bottom of screen.

Also, as I only have 2 hands, challenging to take a good shot...as I have to manipulate hidden black box to come down by moving MBAM or Norton Device Security console upwards (via curser).

This is offline, hence not the same grey box online Google browser page (top right of page - page icon - cursor on page icon - dropdown box containing four more icons within). I know thats normal in Microsoft Windows 11.

Yet, what about the  "black box" offline is that normal in Microsoft Windows 11?

Thank you ever SO MUCH for your speedy response & as usual, for spelling it out in plain English for me. That Darth Vader stealth "Snap Layouts" was annoyingly creepy. The one, and only, computer electronics store within walking distance from where I now live moved their location even further away (my limited edition Jeep Wrangler is sold), hence my post.

I was going to carry my HP laptop, ac adaptor, and external (wireless) mouse to said store to see if they can dislodge a driver jamming up my laptop's Core Isolation/Memory Integrity (from my Brother printer which I no longer have).

Also congratulations to this website...it is SO MUCH easier to post here then on the MBAM website (because of their strict/hypersensitive SPAM FILTER).

I think I am infected!

What I have noticed...at startup...suddenly there are 3 phantom pages there/rapidly disappear. I can see the top bar (black) of the page & the sides, yet the inside is blank/invisible...then the next page...and then page number 3 (all I can make out...top of page/black bar win32 "something"...it happens very fast).

I have done ALL I can/know of, hence I was hoping for some good advice from the good people on these forums.

So, that having been said, MBAM website SPAM Filter refused to allow me to post said post. I kept editing the post, in an effort to please, MBAM's SPAM Filter, yet no such luck.  I even reduced the post to just one word, "Help" and even that was to much for their spam filter to bear.

Hello david. Actually, what you are seeing is called "Snap Layouts" which is a Windows 11 function. Please read more about that at this Microsoft link to disable it or tailor it to your preferences. It will appear whether on or off-line until you change the settings.
