For several years my 2 laptops have been wirelessly using the printer connected to my desktop. I did not have to configure anything in Norton 360 all those years. However, I just got a new wireless router and now the Norton 360 firewall won't allow the 2 laptops to use the printer. They can use the internet fine, it's just the printer that is not being allowed by Norton 360 Firewall.
I corrected this by adding the 2 laptops to Norton 360's Trust Control and gave them both "Full Trust". Now they can access the printer. My question is, is it safe to give Full Trust to my 2 laptops? If one of them gets infected or gets hacked into, can the hacker also hack into my main desktop computer because of the Full Trust setting?

Hi Outlier
It is safe to give the laptops Full Trust which applies to your internal network.
Both my laptops also have Norton 360 installed which makes me feel safer. But what if, in the worst case scenario a laptop is hacked into by a hacker? Can the hacker also get into my desktop pc since it has a "Full Trust" relationship with that laptop?

Hi Outlier
If a hacker has got into one of your Laptops then they have done so because they have gained access to your home network.
So if a hacker gains access into my home network, they will have gained access to all computers within that network? What about the "Trust Level" setting between computers? What effect does that have then?

Hi Outlier
You are still protected from known attacks even when the setting is on Full Trust.
