IS Mobile V 1.5.0.12 Continues to Reject Online Vault Password for Nexus-7

To Alejandrita and All Others Interested,
On my Asus Nexus-7 by Google running Android’s latest OS V 4.2 for tablets, I completely uninstalled Nor to 's Identity Safe designed for mobile devices – and in this case – the Android OS Nexus-7, rebooted my tablet completely, and downloaded the latest Norton Identity Safe from Google’s Play Now app store in its most current version available at the Play Now store: V 1.5.0.12. I installed the software, following the instructions TO THE LETTER, EXACTLY, MAKING SURE ALL USER NAMES AND PASSWORDS WERE SPELLED CORRECTLY, INCLUDING CASE OF LETTERS, SYMBOLS, AND NUMBERS.
I get the same error as before, saying that the password for my online vault is incorrect – even though it works just fine on my Windows 8 Samsung Slate Tablet PC, and my iPhone 4 running iOS 5.0.
Any suggestions now?
As always, thank you in advance for you time and trouble.
Be well,
Apocryphal

Hello again Aprocryphal.

I am sorry to say that you seem to be posting things in the wrong places so instead of responding to your actual post above I am going to try and explain how the forum system works and help you to post where it will best help you..

First your apparent desire to continue the thread that you started some time ago, which is here and to which Alejandrita responded.  If you wish to add anything to that thread then go to any post and hit the "reply" button.  Here is a link to your last post in the thread.  You may have found it difficult to find the thread as the forum on "Norton Toolbar / Norton Identity Safe" is a busy one and as nothing had been posted since last Monday your thread is currently half way down the second page.

If you have something to send specifically to Alejandrita you can click on the name in any of Alejandrita's posts (I have also made the bold red name on the left, active and so you can click on that if you wish) and it will take you to details about Alejandrita.  On the right of the page, in the Contact box is an entry "Send this user a private message", click on that link and you will get to the forums' internal messaging system.  Should Alejandrita or anyone else send you a message through this system then you will see a bright yellow envelope appear at the top right of your forum screen, click on that an it will take you to the message.

Now I know that you have found the mobile forums but I will just show you a couple more links that may (or may not) help.

This one takes you to the high level menu for all the Norton Forums and should allow you to see all the forums to which you might wish to post.

Next if you want to find an old post of your own click on your own name, which appears on the top left of any post by you.  This will take you to a page of details about yourself and some way down the page will be "recent posts by Apocryphal".  After about four will be a "show all" link.  Click on that and all your posts will be listed in date order.  Once you have found the one your are interested in click on that link and you will go to the post.

Did that help?

Hi AndMike,
Your explanation post has help enormously, and I thank you for taking all the time that you have to explain it in full.
Reading between the lines of both your post and others, I can see that by violation of protocol on the Norton Community Forums, I have given unintended offense, created ill will that was never my purpose, and have ruffled more than a few feathers. The Norton Community Forum does not need this sort of thing, and as a busy practicing physician working seven days a week in my own profession, I was merely trying to get my own small problem solved – when even purchase of a VERY expensive Norton One account, which is supposed to solve all hitherto unsolved problems of this very nature, regardless of the hardware and software platform involved – and perhaps help one or two other Norton users along the way.
It is said that the road to h**l is paved with good intentions, and it certainly seems so in my case. Obvious, my naive plan for beneficence in this case has not worked out as intended.
Although I am much appreciative for the work that you have put into the explanation, above, I have enough work as a physician without trying to tackle the intricicies of the Norton Community Forums on a regular basis. My work here on the Forums has not solved either of my two problems in any case. If you or Alejandrita need me to read or respond to and urgent post, I will be happy to do so, but in all other matters Ishall fall silent.
Thank you again for all your time and teotrouble, past, present, and future.
Be well,

Hi Aprocryphal.

Pleas do not take offence or feel that you have done anything "wrong".  I think you might have surprised a few users by posting in unexpected places but the aim of the forums is to help and it appeared to me that in your case the structure was not helping you - hence my last post.

As you say you bought a product that did not seem to work as it should and I would like to see  you helped.

Given the various moves etc. with your original thread, if you feel that you would like to ask Alejandrita (who I note has not acutally visited the forums since last Monday) directly, if there has been any progress?  I would not expect that to cause any upset - so why not try?

Good luck.

Hi AndMike,
Thank you for your reassurances.
Actually, Alejandrita did post this past Friday in response to one of my post/questions about her Solution to the Online Vault password issue. It was in the process of my replying to her reply to my post/question, that I seemed to have wiped out her Today post to me. I had a copy of it elsewhere, so I was forced to re-post hers from the copy so that the thread that it was in would make sense. It is in part because of my unintentional deletion of her post that I first thought of the idea of no longer posting – obviously I don’t want to damage the flow of the threads in the forum. If you do a search on the name Alejandrita, you will find the Friday post of hers I am talking about.
Complicating things is the fact that – as a physician – I am taking my turn at being on call today, and even as I type this reply there is a call coming over my pager that I will need to answer ASAP.
So I think for now I will lay low, reading the Forum regularly at least for any sign of help with my problems, but refrain from posting unless absolutely necessary.
Thank you as always for everything!
Be well,
Apocryphal
