I was browsing the internet when a pop-up came up telling me that Microsoft had locked my computer and it had a number for me to call. Knowing of Ransomware, I restarted my computer and it booted up fine. It's been about 20 hours since the incident and haven't had any issues. I've run Norton's full system scan and another scan from Malwarebytes Anti-Malware. Under recommendation from a friend, I also downloaded and ran Spybot Search and Destroy. All came up with nothing. Then I browsed the Norton support page and it said the problem like this might be only solved by Power Eraser but it also came up Negative.
Is my computer infected with Malware or was this a problem with the site I was on?
