Is Norton 360 Really A Laggy Antivirus or a Dumpster Fire?

Hello, I wanted to inform you that my gaming PC is lagging significantly, making it impossible to play games or participate in online 3D discussions.

  1. My Steam game Tower Unite is one of my examples; I have suffered from a slow, poor independent game. When I connect to one of the official public servers of PixelTail Games, my game starts to lag terribly, making it impossible for me to play with a horrible ping. My friend contacts me about my significant issue. For instance, I was connecting to the spawn area via the subway station of the public square server with so many people on the same server.
  2. My online 3D discussion application, Second Life, also suffers from random freezing. I was using the Firestorm viewer as a better alternative to the Second Life viewer, but when I turn my camera, my browser freezes to the extent that I can no longer move or turn around, and I end up hitting a wall randomly. I would not be able to suggest to the developers of Second Life the possibility of removing old instances and downloading new instances each time I teleport.
  3. My other PC game: SM64 Coop Deluxe also suffered from random freezing or lag. When I use my Xbox wireless controller that I have owned since my 29th birthday, my game experiences random delays for a fraction of a second until my Xbox controller no longer responds to my commands; I was in the main menu, I was not playing the cooperative mod of Super Mario 64 on my PC!

First question, are you using ANY VPN? ANY, third party software loading with Windows at boot time? I have reverted back to the 22.24.8.36 version, am an avid Steam user and don’t see any QOS issues as you are so this is definitely a version 24.xx issue if that is the version you are using.

We are now on version 25.xx, is the issue still present?

I think I found the answer to this answer: I bought Norton™ 360 Premium with Norton™ Utilities Ultimate and it does slow down my PC. I refuse to buy the Norton AntiTrack because I won’t pay 70 bucks for 10 devices because you’re Electronic Arts’s disgruntled cousin by forcing us to pay to you and make us lose more money. Norton 360 is a bloatware for all of our PCs.

How was SoulAsylum not in jail for that?
