Is Norton 360, v4 compatible with Google Chrome?

I am about to install Google Chrome on my PC running Windows XP. I am using Norton 360, v4 at present; Is N360 compatible with the Chrome built in security system? Will N360 function normally with it's tool bars installed in Outlook?

I would appreciate your input here;

Auto-Protect scans all files that are received from any source, such as the Internet, removable disks, or email attachments irrespective of the browser you use. Whenever you cut, past or save any data from the Internet, the AutoProtect will be scanning those file. Auto-Protect scans files for viruses, Trojan horses, and worms any time that the files are accessed, such as when they are copied, moved, run, or opened. It might work with Outlook, but not Outlook 2010.

For more then four month I have been frustrated by system shut-offs', blue screens and all sorts of additional problems. I had renewed my subscription to N360 version 4 at end of March and the problems begun. I finally rebooted my computer to it's original factory version in the absence of my disc which I misplaced. Finally, after all this time and after five or six tries from Microsoft and Norton support, we were in agreement to uninstalled n360 again and went deep into the programs and removed every trace of Norton. We then reinstalled the program and it seems to run well except for taking it's time to pop up in the task bar, and the computer still shuts off 2 out of three times after start-up. Once it restarts it runs well for many hours. I still think that the virus definition program is slow to start or cannot be found by the system, according to the Error Log. "The PMEM service failed because the system cannot find the file specified".

 

Fearing complications again and possible conflicts with the Google Chrome security system, I asked the question above. I have been told that there should be no interference and I am OK with that.

I have Norton 360 4.0 (4.2.0.12) Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit and I use it with Mozilla Firefox 3.6.8 IE8 and Google Chrome 5.0.375.125 and have no issues as long as I am not using it with IE8 64-bit or Outlook 2010
