Is Norton Ghost Explorer still available?

I am trying to restore a friends computer and the factory images are on a hidden partition. Something is wrong and I can not create the disks because the program fails.

I have extraced the files from the hidden partition and they are .gho files.

I looked it up and .gho's are Norton Ghost files.

I downloaded the latest Norton Ghost and it seemed usless for this application since it only allows you to back up and restore your drive.

There was no way to browse or open existing backups.

Ghost Explorer is no longer included and I can not find where to download it on this site.

The newest Ghost versions use an other filestype, which has some encryption.

Gho files were used by older versions of ghost, what can be browsed by Ghost Explorer.

As Ghost Explorer was not developed by newer version, you can only find it on the net... Try to search in google, and you can find the program.

The Ghostexp.exe (version 8.2.0.1117) is 808 088 byte /-> I can use the without errors with a DOS version of /

Thanks for the suggestion. I got an older version of Ghost. Worked like a charm, I got their computer restored to exactly as it came when new. Good thing the disk image was on that hidden partition.
