is Norton really withdrawing the subscription auto-renewal facility?

I have had an email*** said to come from Norton saying Norton is withdrawing the auto-renewal facility. If this is genuine, why does the website still advertise it as a 'plus/must-have'? (http://www.symantec.com/support/autorenew.html)
 
Or is the email fake?
 
I tried to email Norton Subscriptions about it but failed to find a contact address. The system-generated help was rubbish so I then emailed the Technical Support guys and asked them to forward it. No reply yet.
 
*** The email is headed "New Year Norton Renewal Offer" and is shown as being from
"Norton Renewals <subscription@nortonrenewalzone.com>"
