Issue abstract: Getting alerts for products not installed

Detailed description: For my Norton Utilities Ultimate I am getting notifications in the dashboard for products that are not installed and I do not want (such as driver updates, cloud cleaner, etc.). Is there any way to turn these off, so the checks and results are not shown. The drivers that I am beinga alerted about are at the latest/current level, so the alerts are fauls.

I don’t believe there is currently a way to disable these particular notifications/promotional cards in Utilities Ultimate. What you’re seeing for Driver Updater (and similarly for other products/features you don’t have installed) is part of the Utilities Ultimate UI and is essentially an upsell for the additional Norton product.

This type of contextual upselling isn’t unique to Norton. It’s a common industry practice—security software, PC utilities, backup products, password managers, and other software commonly promote related products or premium features within their existing applications. Norton 360 does something similar with Smart Scan, where scan results can lead to offers for products such as Driver Updater.

The distinction here is that these are promotional offers rather than notifications about products you have installed. The normal notification settings don’t appear to provide a control for suppressing these particular offers.

So, unfortunately, I don’t believe there’s currently a supported setting in Utilities Ultimate to turn them off.
