Is there any way to install NMS on a tablet that doesn't support Google Play?

I bought NMS the other night for my wife's Samsung tablet.  I'd like to get NMS for my daughter's Coby tablet, but Coby doesn't support Google Play.

I actually bought a copy of NMS and tried downloading it by signing onto my account (account.norton.com) and clicking the download button under my list of products (NMS); but all it would do is eventually take me to Google Play.  From there it was a vicious circle where even after creating an account on Google Play (from a laptop), I couldn't download the app to the Coby tablet because the Coby doesn't have the Google Play app.  (And you can't download the Google Play app "standalone" from Google Play.)

(And then the full meaning of the "system requirements\device requirements" on the NMS product marketing page hit me.  I didn't really understand it before, but I'm an avowed laptop/desktop guy and not a tablet user.)

I've read some info on hacking a tablet that doesn't support Google Play, but am not sure I have confidence in what I've read -- and then there's the whole issue of getting a "bootlegged" copy of the Google Play app itself.

So bottom line question is again, Is there any way to install NMS on a tablet that doesn't have (doesn't support) Google Play?

And bottom line comment to Norton (if you're listening):  It seems as if you're throwing away some chunk of business.  I don't know how many tablets don't have Google Play capability, but I can at least say this:  I'd buy three more copies of NMS if I could/can get them installed on the Coby tablets we have "laying around".  Bought 1, not 4.  You pick how much business you want to throw away, I guess.

Thanks.
