Is there any way to provide admin a way of reducing the warning time?

My son is 15 and plays online WoW.  Obviously, he cannot stand any monitoring program like this one.  One thing he does is to ignore the time limit and cutoff times.  He will use the one minute warning delay and then continuously log back on until he finishes the task he is working on.

Is there any way to provide the admin a way to reduce the warning time?  Perhaps a choice:  10 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute.  I want to reduce this time to discourage him from his practice.

Also, is there a way to add time via the web versus having to log onto the actual user computer?  I travel a lot and it would be great if I could log in online from the road and provide an extra hour.  Possible?

One more.  In today's mobile world.  How about a OnlineFamily mobile site for devices like the Blackberry?

Thank you.

Hi Katie,

Following up on this request with a little more definition.  Here is a scenario:

My daughter is at home on her computer and she has used her allotted time of 3 hours.  She calls me at my office to ask for more time.  I would like to be able to login from here in my office and give her 1 more hour.  As far as I know, I cannot do that now.  I have to be at home and log onto her computer to add one hour.

Please let me know if there is already a way to do this from my office.  Otherwise, please add it to the list of updates.

Thank you.

bav347,

Thanks for the question...so I get a chance to "brag" about the beauty of the program.  You definitely can edit the allowed time for the PC that’s being monitored no matter where you are as long as you have internet access.  When you are in your office, you can simply log onto the program at  https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysafety/loginStart.fs, and go to Settings -> Time to add or reduce allowed time.  Please read the link below on how to set or change time restrictions online. https://onlinefamily.norton.com/familysafety/help/setting-time-restriction.jsp

Thanks,

Katie

I don't think we are on the same page yet.    :smileyhappy:    Maybe another way to describe this.

When I am at home and my daughter asks for more time (say 15 minutes), I go up to her laptop, login and agree to whatever increment additional time.

This is what I would like to do remotely.  So if I wanted to grant 15 minutes additional time, how can I do this from another computer?

I apologize if I am not making sense.

bav347,

I got it.  Sorry about the misunderstanding earlier.  You were talking about right clicking on the NSM icon (a dog paw) in the system tray and selecting Extend Time.  This feature is build for the PC what is being monitored.  If you want to grand additional time remotely…for now, go to Settings -> Time to edit allowed time, which is a permanent setting as shown below.  I’ll pass your request to our development team.

Yes!  Thank you Katie.  This would be a huge feature to add.
