I just posted a problem about installing the Norton mobile security app on an Android tablet, but I don't see my post anywhere.
Do new posts (or posts from new members) need to be approved by a moderator? If not, I'm concerned that I may have lost my original post. :(
Looks like the original post has finally shown up. Moderation can take longer on weekends. Something the Gurus here have been complaining about for some time.
P.S. The other post you saw (about my installation problem on my Android 5 tablet) is a duplicate post. My original post still isn't showing up anywhere — not even in my account activity.
Peter, thanks for the pointers. On your advice, I have posted my suggestions in Forum Feedback:

Best regards,

I cannot say I have seen this noted anywhere.
This might be a good suggestion for the Product Suggestions board https://community.norton.com/forums/product-suggestions
Or you could post in the Forum Feedback board https://community.norton.com/en/forums/forum-feedback
Peter, thanks for clarifying. Is the moderation of posts from new users stated somewhere in the forum guidelines? I couldn't find anything along those lines when I looked it up myself.
May I request a new feature to improve the usability of the forum? Specifically, can the forum software notify new users of the moderation policy when they post for the first time? That would be ideal.
Clarifying the policy for new users would save a lot of angst over lost work. It may reduce duplicate posts, too. Win-win!
All the best,
Fred
Your post is visible now. You are correct that new users' post may be moderated, depending on the content. eg if you have a link or an image, the moderators need to check it before the post is visible.
The information under my username says I've made two posts, but the subscriptions tab and activity tab on my account show only my second post. What happened to my first post?
If a new member's first post must be approved by a moderator, a warning to that effect would be helpful.
