Is this notice a scam?

I received an email from Norton Renewals [noreply_subscriptions@subscriptions.norton.com] stating that I need to update my information in order to receive  automatic renewal. I checked my profile at the account website and it looks like all the information is current and does not need an update. Is this email a scam? if it is not, why are you telling me to update correct information?
