When viewing Norton's Security History, I noticed this entry this afternoon: Firewall rules were automatically created for Isass.
Advance details are:
Program name: Isass
Default action: Learn application
Action taken: Learn application
Program path is c:/windows/system32/Isass.exe
Traffic description: Outbound UDP, 53
Isass was allowed to communicate with xxx.47
The remote computer IP address is almost identical to mine except for:
Mine: xxx.1
Remote computer: xxx.47
My dumb question: Is my computer communicating with my ISP provider or is this something I need to be concerned about?
The only thing different I noticed while on the internet was when I was checking out the latest news on CBS News and a box appeared asking for my user name and password. I hit cancel. Other than that, my surfing was just to the normal sites I go to everyday.
