Is anyone aware of a possible issue with NIS 2013 not installing product updates correctly on 32-bit systems such as Vista or XP?
I eventually received the update for the Firefox 18-compatible Norton Toolbar on 09-Jan 2013 but it was installed silently after a re-boot (i.e., no notification that a product update had been delivered and no prompt to Reboot Now / Reboot Later or Apply Now / Apply Later - see my post here).
Now my LiveUpdate history is indicating that another product update was delivered on 14-Jan-2012. I assume this was the NIS 2013 product update to v. 20.2.1.22, but again, no notification that a product update had been delivered. That was two days and several re-boots ago and Support | About shows that I'm still at v. 20.2.0.19.
I'm worried that the Apply Updates Only on Reboot feature described here that Symantec has incorporated for 64-bit Win 7 and Win 8 users is somehow affecting the installation of product updates for NIS 2013 users with a 32-bit OS.
