Hi, I recently purchased an ASUS laptop running on Windows 10. I installed Norton Security on it and disabled the Mcafee virus/internet securty sofware that came with my laptop.
After installing it, it updated the definitions and everything seemed to be working fine. After doing so, I opened up Norton Security because I saw a red "X" (under Security), so I clicked the FIX NOW button. It updates and shows me a green status. However, when I close the application, I get a Windows error saying that an unwanted security application is trying to gain access to my system (or something similar).
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling my Norton product by running the NRnR tool from the link : http://norton.com/rnr It initially updated ok and then I got the error again saying that there is a security risk because my virus and spyware definitions are not up-to-date (see screenshot attached).
I also have a Windows 7 laptop, but with no issues running Norton Security. I would appreciate your help with this...thanks much!
