...to say how awful Norton has been for me as a mac user.
I realize this might sound as a non justified rant, but honestly tonight I've tipped to the point where I need to go on these forums and explain why this program -- since I've stopped using it -- has acted more like malware than anything else despite me being a previous paying customer.
The crux of the manipulation is in this program's lack of respect for being told "no." What I mean is that I made a decision a year ago to stop using Norton after subscribing and paying for the services. Since then, I am warned "Your PC is at Risk" and prompted daily with three "solutions" : Subscribe Now, Subscribe Later, No Thanks.
Choosing Subscribe Later or No Thanks returns me to the warning screen with the three options -- an infinite loop -- only does "subscribe now" in which I would pay, offer a way to stop the Norton Spam.
Give me a break. Learn some ethics. Grow up. Get lost.
This is pathetic for a company -- I've had it up to here -- my recommendation is you take your business elsewhere, these guys are no better than the people that write malware.
My experience is limited to mac, which is why it's posted here, but I suppose this slime coats the company.
