First, I ran Norton update tool to see if I have the latest version since I cannot for the life of me find the software version on my product!! According to the update tool it is the latest and greatest.
My issue (which comes and goes) is that when Norton runs background tasks it prevents my monitor from staying in power-save mode. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING!!! I tolerated it for a while by manually adjusting my screen saver/power settings manually. Then, for some reason the problem went away. Now its back! I have read other threads on this issue but no one ever seems to post a permanent fix.
