…perhaps by Norton Firewall you mean the Internet Worm Protection in Norton AntiVirus that is part of Norton SystemWorks?

What Norton SystemWorks Version are you using, e.g. Standard Edition?

Greeting folks,

I'm trying to help my neighbor who currently can't connect to the internet due to a misconfiguration with Nortons. He currently has a version of norton system works using XP. They use the Juno dial up service to connect to the web. I've set the permissions to both juno services to "allow" in the permissions list. However, norton is still blocking the juno service (or not allowing juno to communicate with a network service on the pc). I did manage to log in sucessfully once, when i had the "ask me what to do" selected in one of the options menu. However, on one of the questions i had accidentally selected allow once. I can not figure out how to change that to always allow.

Any suggestions or more info needed?

Which Norton product is installed? Is it Norton Internet Security? Also, it would be helpful to know the version of the product and the operating system. If your neighbor disables (briefly) the Norton Firewall, can he connect to the internet again? Which type of connection is he using? Any routers? I apologize for the questions; if you're able to get a connection somehow, it may be worthwhile to contact our customer support team:

The chat function will help you connect directly with an agent who can remote access the system to troubleshoot it. Thanks!
