Just curious?

I am a "Service Expert" on the Comcast Forum and as such I have the ability to move posts, merge posts, remove posts etc.  I do not have the ability to edit anyone's posts - other than my own.  Be that as it may, I have found on the Comcast Forums that the ability to "move posts to their own threads" even on the same board, and more or less create a new topic is advantageous.

IMHO, I despise "Me Too" posts - those which state "I also have the same problem" which I have found in most cases is in fact not the same exact problem with the same exact corrective action.  I dislike folks tagging onto posts started by others - especially when the original posts have been marked as "Solved".

I have seen many posts on all the boards here that are marked Solved and that is all good and well - but then other posters add their situations to the post - which is already flagged as solved.   To me that is where the Guru's can earn their "pay" more! :smileywink:

If you could give the Guru's the ability to manipulate the location of posts (rather than asking a Mod to move it to another Board) and also for the Guru's to be able to split the "Me Too" posts to their own thread, I think it would help in the long run.

I have found many times that a thread is marked as Solved - but there is another situation added to a "Me too"  post and that is also solved a different way and that is the answer I am looking for - but I pass over it because I have keyed in on the other "Solved"

I hope that all makes sense and am curious what others think.
