Just looking through thenorton history...

Hi I was just looking through the Norton history on my dad's computer.. can someone please tell me if these things are normal...

1.)  There are multiple entries of "Protecting your connection from a newly detected network on adapter "NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Networking controller" (IP address: 192. 168. 1. 106)" Then 20 mins later there's this history log "IP address has disappeared from adapter NVIDIA nForce 10/100 Mbps Networking controller" (IP address: 192. 168. 1. 106) and is no longer being protected.

There are multiple entries like this, with the IP address changing each time. This has only been happening over the last couple of days.

2.)  On the 4th and the 5th there are may entries saying " Likght Silent mode turned off" and "light silent mode turned on". Is this normal?

3.) on the 5th there is an entry reading "demo32.exe modified your system configuration". What is this? Norton says that the program is e:/bin/demo32.exe and that it was detected but no action's required for it.

4.) Then, within 5 seconds of the above theres another entry for "ikernel.exe modified your system configuration". Once again norton says it was detected but that no action was required.

5.) This one im sure is normal. Well, pretty sure. "uwebcam.exe modified your system configuration" This is the same date that we put the new webcam on this computer. Knowing that, i cant remember adding anythign to the computer on the same days and time as the entries in #'s 3 and 4.

6.) There's another: "kbdutil.exe made modificatoins to your computer". And "realplay.exe modified you system config." and the same for realsched.exe and kbdstub.exe and kbd.exe and qttask.exe  and runprofiler.exe and then threr's a ton of pcdrharddrive.p5x, pcdrnetwork. p5x and variations of pcdr.....p5x. All say low risk and detected but not blocked? There are seven of these entries.

7.) And this is supposed to be there?  "An instance of "C:/Program Files (x86)/ Internet Explorer/ iexplorer.exe" is preparing to access the internet.

8.) Last one: "Connected to a shared network (00 18 F8 39 01 BC) "- trusted. This entry appears multiple times, since yesterday. Normal? or not?

I forgot to mention that the comp. is running on vista 64 bit and we're using norton internet security 09. I just ran a scan and all Nortoon found is a tracking cookie.

Also, totally unrelated to this computer.. after you do a system restore is it normal for the number of files norton has to scan to decrease? I ran a scan the other day on my laptop after doign a restore and it scanned 202,000 files. Before, i could have sworn it did more. Any ideas or am i being a bit paranoid?

Thaks anyone for thier help  :)
